Hansen, Allen & Luce (HAL) was organized in 1974 as VAUGHN HANSEN ASSOCIATES by Dr. Vaughn E. Hansen, prominent university educator, engineer and author. Dr. Hansen's goal was to create a highly ethical consulting team that could help meet the growing water engineering needs of the intermountain west. Vaughn Hansen Associates completed many significant projects and the Firm became recognized as a leader in water resources engineering. In 1987, the name of the Firm was changed to HANSEN, ALLEN & LUCE to reflect additional leadership. During 1988, Dr. Hansen retired after a long and successful career. Since its founding, the Firm has increased both in size and breadth of services offered with the primary focus remaining in the water area. During 2004, we celebrated 30 years of successfully meeting the engineering needs of our many public and private sector clients.
