JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Environmental Services Specialist I

Job summary: Responsible for writing and maintaining up-to-date technical reports, such as: Risk Management Plan (RMP), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Water Conservation Plan, and others. Provides training on water treatment topics, safety items, State and Federal Regulations, etc, to all District employees. Performs various laboratory tests and tasks. Reviews State and Federal regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, and National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC) standards to ensure that the District is in compliance with State and Federal Requirements. Assists in preparing grant proposals. Reviews water quality data and puts together graphs to evaluate trends for several parameters. Assists in preparing compliance reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field
Two years of job related experience
Valid Utah Driver’s License
Utah Grade IV Treatment Certification (within two testing cycles)
Hours:
Sunday through Saturday 40 hour week
Must work at least one Sunday per month and some Saturdays during the year
