
Nominees for Second Trustee
The Second Trustee Nominating Committee, appointed by Florence Reynolds, has submitted three nominees for Second Trustee to the Intermountain Section Board:
- Vince Hamilton
- Dave Ritter
- Layne Read
The Second Trustee will be elected by vote of the Section members present at the annual meeting. The voting will occur by ballot at the Annual Conference in Sun Valley. The new Second Trustee will take office at the conclusion of the Annual Conference.

After graduation from the University of Utah with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, I began my career with WesTech. Over the past 22 years I have had many varied opportunities to work with product applications, project management, product development and currently as the Unit Leader and Vice President for WesTech’s Water Products Unit. I have been an active member of AWWA for many years and currently a member of the Student Outreach & Scholarships Committee. I have enjoyed working with others on this committee to ach out to promote the benefits of water related careers to many talented young people. When not at work you will likely find me sharing, discovering and enjoying the grandeur of our region with family and scouts. |

David F. Ritter

Dave Ritter has twenty five years of experience in the water and wastewater treatment field as a design engineer, manufacturer, and equipment supplier. He is president and majority owner of Goble Sampson Associates, a fifty six year old company specializing in the supply of high quality water and wastewater treatment equipment throughout the western United States. He is past president of the Water Environment Association, the complementary organization to AWWA Intermountain, but for the wastewater treatment systems of Utah. Dave enjoys his time with his family traveling, skiing, camping, hiking and fishing. |

Layne Read

Layne Read is the Vice President and Municipal Salesman for Delco Western. While specializing in Vertical Turbine pumps, Layne is well versed in all forms of pumping and process equipment. Layne is a lifetime resident of Utah. Having grown up in the farming community of Layton, Utah, he graduated high school in 1978. He has been actively involved in Water / Wastewater industry for over 25 years. In 1983, his start was with Waterworks Equipment Company, after attending Weber State College. In 1993 he became an employee of Delco Western.
In his personal time, Layne enjoys; playing golf, fly fishing, camping and most outdoor activities. He is and has been involved with many social and professions organizations. He held local Board and / or Committee positions with Ogden Engineers Society, Rural Water Association of Utah, and Utah Ground Water Association. Layne is also a Salt Lake County Delegate and a member of the Environmental Caucus. |
