
Research & Student Activities
COMMITTEE PURPOSE:
The Research and Student Activities Committee's goal is to increase technical knowledge in the water industry. This includes promoting research being conducted by local agencies and universities. The Committee endeavors to provide a forum for technical presentation ranging from current water treatment issues such as fluoride to new technologies such as UV.

COMMITTEE INFORMATION:
This Committee sponsors the annual Spring Water Quality Symposium. This forum allows water professionals and students to interact and discuss research each is conducting. This Symposium is also where the students papers are selected which will be presented each September at the Intermountain Section Annual Conference.
The Committee also funds two $500 scholarships which are given to students who are studying in a technical field in a college or university within the Intermountain Section.
