Utah Water Watch Monitoring Program
Utah Water Watch (UWW) is a statewide citizen water quality monitoring program, managed through USU Water Quality Extension and in partner with Utah Division of Water Quality. Our goal is to improve citizen knowledge about water quality and promote good stewardship. To learn more, go to our website: http://extension.usu.edu/utahwaterwatch.
In celebration of Utah Water Week, current volunteers are encouraged to collect data at their sites during the week May 7-13th. We post the data on our website for a snapshot view of Utah's water. See results from the previous years here!
Also, Join us for one of our upcoming training and become a volunteer!! See our calendar for details and updates.
Monitoring is an excellent activity to do with your class, club or family. If you would like to host a water week monitoring event with your group, we may be able to help arrange supplies and information to do so. See our contact info below.
For educators: Utah Water Watch is an excellent program for teachers to use with their classes or clubs. The educational level monitoring is developed from the Stream Side Science program which provides lesson plans and links to local Utah watersheds.
Here is a map of monitored sites throughout the state.
